Information You Submit
Text entered in a search box, such as a name, telephone number, or address, is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the search results. Santa Paula Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message and contact details you include are available for the purpose of responding.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, referring page, and timestamps. Those logs are used in aggregate to keep the service secure, diagnose failures, and understand general page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where those services are enabled.
How the Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, resolve technical problems, measure traffic, and improve the pages. The operators do not sell visitor lists or build an individual profile from ordinary site use.
Links Beyond This Reference
Pages link to county and state portals, courts, libraries, archives, and third-party search services. Each outside service controls the information submitted to it under its own privacy policy. That includes sponsored search results, which are supplied by a separate company.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical providers may process server-log information while supporting the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. It is not disclosed for unrelated purposes.
Security Measures
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and technical logs are kept only for the purposes that require them. There are no site accounts, passwords, or user profiles here that could be exposed in an account breach. No online system can promise absolute security.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal information, a message through the Contact page can request its deletion from the contact mailbox.
Your California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, including Civil Code § 1798.100 et seq., may provide rights to know, delete, correct, limit certain sensitive-personal-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing, subject to statutory exceptions. Because this reference retains little personal information, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant technical logs. Use the Contact page to make a request.
The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§ 7920.000-7931.000, governs records held by state and local custodians, not by this private reference. Requests to remove or correct a deed, court file, voter entry, vital certificate, or city record must go to the office that holds that record. California's Safe at Home program and other confidentiality rules also operate through their designated custodians.
Changes to This Policy
If the handling of information changes, an updated policy will be posted here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
