Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using Santa Paula Residents Directory. Accessing or using the pages means that you accept these conditions. If you do not accept them, do not use the reference or its linked tools.

1. The Nature of This Reference

Santa Paula Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections associated with Santa Paula, Ventura County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a government office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use these pages only for lawful purposes. You may not use the reference or information reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person
  • Find someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Scrape, republish, or copy the pages at scale
  • Disrupt the site's security, availability, or operation

3. No Consumer Reporting Service

Santa Paula Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on these pages, and nothing returned by a linked search service, is a consumer report. It may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. External Portals and Links

County, state, court, library, archive, and third-party portals have their own terms, privacy notices, availability, prices, and data practices. Santa Paula Residents Directory does not control or guarantee an outside service, including a sponsored search tool.

5. No Warranty

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a description is accurate, complete, or current, or that an external portal will remain online or produce a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record located through them.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from misuse of the reference or a violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Site Material

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution is permitted. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the content is not.

9. Revisions to These Terms

Updated terms may be posted on this page. Continued use after a revision is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Suspension or Termination

The operators may block or limit access by a person who violates these terms or abuses the service. This may occur without advance notice where necessary to protect the site or others.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§ 7920.000-7931.000, governs requests to state and local custodians, not the private reference itself. California's Consumer Privacy Act and Consumer Privacy Rights Act, including Civil Code § 1798.100 et seq., may provide privacy rights subject to exceptions.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions About the Terms

Questions about these conditions may be sent through the Contact page.
